Piotr Beczala is one of our time’s most significant and sought-after lyric tenors, one of the most exciting male singers who is a permanent guest at the world’s leading opera houses. This Polish-born artist is respected all over the world – not only for the beauty of his voice, but his emotional commitment to all the characters he portrays.

Preceding Beczala’s gala concert on Margaret Island, he will sing the role of Rodolfo in London’s Royal Opera House and take on the role of Werther at the New York’s MET in the spring. His partner in Budapest will be the outstanding Kossuth Prize- and Liszt Prize-winning Hungarian soprano Andrea Rost, with whom he will perform the most famous and heart-stirring arias, duets, and operetta songs by Puccini, Verdi, Strauss, Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán – offering unforgettable experiences to the audience, who will get the first chance to see them together on the main stage of Margaret Island.
